This role serves as a hands-on, direct labor position responsible for independently preparing, compounding, and packaging production batches while ensuring product quality, batch integrity, and compliance with all safety and operational standards. Scope and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and plan equipment use, including verifying vessel suitability (cleanliness, size, etc.), and staging raw materials and weights in accordance with specific batch instructions prior to batch compounding.
  • Operate mixing, processing, and packaging equipment safely and in accordance with approved procedures while maintaining batch integrity and obtaining authorization for any deviations.
  • Prepare and stage packaging equipment, filtration media, and containers required for packaging operations.
  • Package approved product into designated containers in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Accurately complete all required production documentation, including recording raw material lot numbers, labeling containers and vessels, and verifying batch details.
  • Monitor workflow and report delays, equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or quality concerns impacting production or efficiency.
  • Demonstrate safe and competent use of production and material handling equipment, including forklifts, hoists, mixers, scales, valves, and vacuum systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, and work areas to meet housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Follow all safety and regulatory protocols, including proper use of PPE, hazard communication, safe material handling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Utilize the company's ERP system to support daily operations, documentation, and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Production Lead to prioritize work, support production schedules, and ensure quality, accuracy, and shipment requirements are met. Performance Metrics/KPIs
  • Maintain a safe work environment with zero recordable incidents and 100% compliance with PPE and safety procedures.
  • Achieve ≥ 95% on housekeeping/5S audits and ensure proper end-of-shift cleanup.
  • Maintain ≥ 98-100% batch accuracy (correct raw materials and documentation).
  • Ensure zero unauthorized deviations from batch instructions.
  • Complete and package ≥ 95% of batches on time.
  • Maintain high packaging accuracy with minimal errors (mislabels, incorrect containers, etc.).
  • Adhere to production schedules and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Tardiness/absence within acceptable limits Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Requires high school diploma or GED equivalency; exceptions at the discretion of management.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions in English, including safety rules, procedures, manuals, and product recipes/material identifications.
  • Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Must have ability to reason and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, spatula, drum carts, hand trucks, forklifts, utility knife, and mixer/blender machinery.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and effectively use ERP systems.
