Job Description

The first 3 letters in workplace safety are Y-O-U! TK Elevator is currently seeking a Multi-Machine Operator III in Byhalia, MS . Responsible for setting up and operating machines to produce a quality product that meets all the compliance specifications as outlined in the job; responsibilities include but may not be limited to maintaining the tooling of the machines to ensure the machine operator is able to operate the machine safely and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work. Ability to operate in CNC systems Sharpening tooling Uses the barcode system to enter and ship transactions. This includes the ability to operate scan guns, printers, and label machines Ability to visually inspect output to ensure conformance with print specifications Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers Perform routine preventative maintenance on all machines as instructed. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required. Perform function of tool crib attendant as required; issuing and ordering perishable tooling and storing tools in proper location. Read and interpret complicated drawings and/ or prints to determine dimensions and tolerances. Maintain accurate production records. This is a safety sensitive position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required Vocational or Technical training/certification or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, machining, or a related technical field is preferred. SAP experience preferred 5-7 years of experience in Panel benders (automatic machines) 5-7 years of experience in Punching machines 5-7 years of experience reading and interpreting complicated drawings 5-7 years of experience operating CNC, lathes, gear making equipment, manual single and multi-access vertical and horizontal machining centers Ability to Set up, adjust, and operate basic machine tools and varying specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations Ability to use a caliper and angle gauge CNC programming skills General mechanical experience maintaining equipment General organizational and time management skills. Possess a good knowledge of the manufacturing processes. Proficient written and oral communication skills essential for the role. Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs, work independently with minimal guidance.
