1 Jackson, MS Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Auto Bag Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of automated and manual bagging equipment in a manufacturing environment. Prepares, fills, and palletizing bags of silica products while adhering to strict safety, quality, and production standards. May also assist in training junior operators, performing equipment inspections, and maintaining a clean and compliant work area. Operate bagging machines to fill and seal bags with silica sand or related materials. Set up equipment for daily production, including loading bags, adjusting weights, and ensuring correct labeling. Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Stack and palletize finished product manually or using automated systems. Conduct quality checks to ensure product weight, seal integrity, and labeling accuracy. Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S and housekeeping standards. Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times. Complete production documentation accurately and timely. Assist with inventory counts and packaging material restocking. Train or support new hires and junior baggers as needed. Additional duties as assigned. High School diploma or GED required. Basic math and computer skills for weight and labeling systems. Commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced production environment. 1-2 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably in packaging or materials handling. High level of safety and quality. Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.). Good problem-solving skills. Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge
