Job Description:

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join a high-performing manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position plays a critical role in producing precision sheet metal components using advanced fiber laser equipment. The ideal candidate brings a strong manufacturing background, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up laser cutting machines to manufacture parts according to detailed specifications and blueprints. You will review work orders, interpret technical drawings, and ensure all parts meet required tolerances and quality standards. This position requires a hands-on operator who understands machine functions, can make cut parameter adjustments, and is comfortable troubleshooting issues as they arise. Daily responsibilities include performing machine setup, monitoring production runs, inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools, and documenting cycle times and operator notes. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, completing routine machine maintenance, and ensuring all safety standards are followed. This is a production-driven environment where efficiency, consistency, and craftsmanship are highly valued. Candidates must be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and handling materials as part of the manufacturing process.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience in sheet metal or a related industry Previous experience operating industrial fiber laser equipment is required Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings Experience performing machine setups and making parameter adjustments Strong understanding of quality control and use of precision measuring tools Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and respond to alarms effectively Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, ISO standards, or continuous improvement processes is preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Only candidates with relevant, hands-on laser operating experience will be considered. This is not a training opportunity.
