Manufacturing Equipment Operator Dispersion 1st
Position SummaryThe Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment used in the production of color compounds. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the highest standards of safety by following all safety procedures and actively participating in safety programsOperate extrusion and related production equipment, including extruders, feeders, pelletizers, scales, dies, and classifiersProduce compound samples according to customer and production specificationsPerform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performanceAdd color mix to feeders using a tow motor/forklift to position color pots correctlyMonitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as neededRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent12 years of manufacturing or production experience strongly preferredMechanical aptitude with troubleshooting capabilityForklift/tow motor experience preferredSolid math and analytical skillsDependable, reliable, and self-motivated work ethicCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive starting pay: $18.00/hour and up120 hours (3 weeks) of Paid Time Off10 paid holidaysFree uniformsMedical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage starting 30 days to the first of the monthCompany-paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and AD&D after 90 days401(k) with generous company match:
