MACHINE OPERATOR

SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator will work on a variety of manual and semi-automated machinery. This position will manage equipment performance to ensure all specifications are met, perform 6S schedule, data entry, and report issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position.
Other duties may be assigned:
Inspect components for defects and physical discrepancies to meet requirements. Clean excess debris and outside substances on filter as required to meet specifications. Comply with and support all department and corporate policies and procedures included but not limited to Safety and Security. Maintain equipment daily. (Set up machine at beginning of shift, maintain cleanliness throughout the shift, final cleaning at end of shift). Replace any chemicals as necessary. Reset computer for the next shift. Read, interpret and follow detailed test procedures, shop order details and assembly drawings. Excellent hand/eye coordination. Calibration tools and equipment must be left in good order for the next shift, along with any communications dialog as the operator take ownership of the equipment and required schedule. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Follow written/oral instructions from process engineers, manufacturing engineers, and supervisor. Participate in process improvement projects. Report issues to Group Leader and document downtime. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Daily/Weekly availability for overtime. Crosstrain in other positions within the facility based on business needs. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
2 to 5 years in working in manufacturing and machine operating preferred. (Cleanroom environment (food, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing) Skills in various measurement tools related to above industries. 2 years in a technical discipline or 3 to 5 years running equipment with windows base software. Self-motivation, requiring minimal direction to accomplish high level of work. Team player, working well and communicating with all members of the work group. Consistently delivering quality work. Strong desire to complete tasks and projects on time with accurate documentation. Strong time management skills. Basic computer skills including Microsoft office, an MRP system and email. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for continuous periods of 4 hours. The employee frequently is required to handle product and reach with hands and arms, repetitively throughout the shift. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
