Job Description

Assembly Technician We are seeking an Assembly Technician to support the build and integration of power-generation equipment in a manufacturing environment in Durham. This role focuses on precision mechanical and electrical assembly of generators and related systems, with an emphasis on blueprint interpretation, quality control, and collaboration. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, building complex equipment, and contributing to reliable power-generation solutions.
Location Durham, NC Shift Information Evening Shift:
3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Ability to train on
Day Shift:
6:00 AM - 4:30
PM Pay Rate:
$20.50 per hour Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Benefits Weekly Pay Free Online Education A Dedicated Recruiter Job Requirements Assemble and install generator components according to technical specifications, blueprints, and work instructions Build, rebuild, and integrate mechanical and electrical subassemblies used in generators and related equipment Perform in-process and final inspections to verify alignment, fit, wiring accuracy, and overall build quality Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks requiring strong manual dexterity Troubleshoot assembly issues, identify defects, and work with engineers or supervisors to resolve problems Communicate with other operators and departments to support efficient workflow and production goals Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools Basic electrical knowledge for wiring, routing, and component integration High attention to detail and ability to follow precise assembly standards Physical ability to lift components and work in a manufacturing environment Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16″ Apply Now by clicking the apply button. #nowhiring Heavy Assembly
