BOE Job Description:

An extruder technician operates, monitors, and troubleshoots extrusion machines, which shape materials by forcing them through a die to create products with a consistent cross-section. Extrusion is commonly used in plastics, rubber, food processing, and metal manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting up extrusion equipment according to production specifications. Monitoring machine performance and adjusting temperatures, pressures, speeds, and material flow. Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards and measurements. Troubleshooting problems such as material defects, machine malfunctions, or production inconsistencies. Performing routine maintenance and coordinating repairs when needed. Recording production data and following safety and quality procedures. Changing dies and tooling for different products or production runs.
