The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte, NC. This facility employs 400+ full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 SKU's. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S. By choice we are committed to a diverse workforce -EOE/Protected Veteran/DisabledJob DescriptionAiding to the production process by assisting in the operation of the sand paper punching machine successfully. Responsible for gaining and maintaining general knowledge of machines throughout the conversion area. You will be responsible for completing the required training measures (PQ&T) as they are needed. You are responsible for maintaining the appropriate process systems, 6S and production standards. As a Bosch Associate, you will be expected to maintain a positive work environment and follow the appropriate safety procedures. You must be open and willing to assist others throughout the department.

QualificationsMust be flexible and able to adapt quicklyGeneral Math skillsAbility to multitaskAbility to stand for 8 hoursAbility to read and follow instructionsAbility to lift (up to) 40lb. boxesHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPrefer experience in machine operatingAdditional InformationLoad rolls of sandpaper on machine as neededUse SAP to look up materialsOperate pin lift, pallet lift, and hoistAssist in the set up and start up of the machine and operate successfullyAssist in making adjustments to machine as neededAssist in the troubleshooting of machine issues and assist with repairs according to escalation planReading and following standard operating procedures pertaining to the machine being operatedFollow the appropriate quality standards and measures for the machine being operatedUnderstand and following procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organizationMaintaining knowledge of all safety procedures associated with the machine being operatedMachine has a feeding system by clamp beam working on idle conveyor, the system is motorized. The feeding clamp beams are placed one before and one after cutting head.

Touch screen parameters provide the possibility to set material width in between the cuts (trim), to have the minimum waste as possible. A recipe menu provide the possibility to save machine setup data for each combination: shape size, master web width, material type, etc. The operator has only to recall the desired recipe to start a new machine setup.
