Machine Operator

Job Title:

Machine Operator Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will efficiently operate equipment to meet desired production rates while minimizing downtime. Effective communication with ground storage and making operators through radios and telephones is essential. A basic understanding of transfer cars, haulage systems, and general knowledge of the making area, where bricks are mixed and molded, is required. Responsibilities Maintain a safe and clean work area to prevent personal injury and property damage. Utilize proper safety equipment and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO). Learn other job functions and provide coverage when necessary. Acquire a good working knowledge of Artech and Ceric setters. Operate computers related to the setting machine. Use hand tools to adjust, repair, and perform preventative maintenance. Execute changeovers from one product to another efficiently. Assist the brick machine operator as needed. Essential Skills Experience in machine operation and changeovers. Ability to perform setups, repairs, and preventative maintenance using hand tools. Proficiency in computer operations related to machine settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, or a 2-year certification. Onsite forklift certification available, when applicable. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is located in a brick masonry manufacturing environment, which can be both indoors and outdoors, and is typically dirty and non-climate controlled. The role requires the ability to work independently in varying temperatures, and candidates should be comfortable with dirt, dust, and mud. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, a hard hat, and a safety vest. Some work may occur between two plants in Madison, with the primary location being Plant 5. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $37440.00/yr. Will provide when asked by candidates Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Madison,NC.
