Job Description
Assembly Quality Manager Bear Creek Arsenal - Sanford, NC Bear Creek Arsenal is seeking an experienced Assembly Quality Manager to lead quality and assembly operations for AR-platform upper assemblies and rifles. This position is responsible for ensuring our products meet high standards for reliability, consistency, fit and finish, function, and overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and experience improving assembly quality and production processes. This is an opportunity to directly impact the quality reputation of one of the fastest-growing firearm manufacturers in the country. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise upper assembly and rifle assembly quality operations
- Ensure all products meet company standards for function, reliability, and appearance
- Verify torque specifications, headspace, gas system alignment, and assembly consistency
- Develop and maintain assembly procedures, inspection standards, and process controls
- Train and mentor assembly technicians on proper workmanship and quality expectations
- Identify and resolve recurring assembly and reliability issues
- Work closely with machining, coating, engineering, and production departments
- Monitor and reduce warranty claims, assembly defects, and customer complaints
- Establish accountability and craftsmanship standards throughout assembly operations
- Assist with new product introductions and premium product initiatives
- Improve overall production consistency, efficiency, and product perception Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Experience with AR-15 and/or AR-10 platforms preferred
- Manufacturing, assembly, quality control, or gunsmithing experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred
- Ability to identify root causes and solve technical problems
- Strong attention to detail and process discipline
- Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, or inspection procedures is a plus
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus
