ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work together in a team setting to safely produce machined castings. Answers directly to a Team Leader.
Description of activities:
Operates machines for production, as assigned. Machines will consist of CNC machines, wet-blast machines, washing/drying machines, and bushing press assembly machines. Prepares machines for the production, cleaning, checking levels, tooling. Performs operations while controlling machine/production processes. Checks production status within and in between each production sequence and takes action in case of deviations. Checks finished parts/component, performs specific checks or functionality test including gaging. Documents hourly numbers and other record keeping essential to production. Conducts pre-shift and post-shift activities and documentation to ensure smooth transition. Reports any damage to equipment/tooling/facility to Team Leader.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Responsible for identifying Environmental Aspects for his/her department and supporting Environmental Management Plan (EMP) goals and targets through training, engagement, and communication. While performing the duties of this position, the employee must comply with all safety regulations and proper operating procedures, always utilizing the required safety equipment. Employees are obligated to leave the workplace in a clean and orderly manner. Must collaborate in the bridging of break times, and briefly inform the succeeding operator of activities that took place during his or her shift. Special requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) Preferred Experience in the field of metalworking, machining or basic CNC knowledge is desirable Experience in the field of line automation is desirable. Working knowledge of manufacturing Blue Print Reading preferred Ability to Communicate Effective Teamwork capability Ability to work multiple shifts
