Job Description

Job Summary:
Read Schedule load next set into slasher creel, lay-in beams into hook reed, Assist operator when needed to keep slasher running.
Essential Functions:
Perform the following duties according to
ISO 9001
work instructions and standards: Perform beginning shift walk-thru. Make size according to requirements and maintain the size of the kitchen area. Read Schedule to see what set is next to be loaded. Prepare in advance for the next set on schedule. Unload empty dye beams from the creel and take to warping. Load next set according the run schedule. (check correct lay out if a patterns is set up to run). Patrol slasher for end breaks and other quality problems. Assist the operator when needed during doffing of warped beams. Lay-In beams into hook reed. Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job. Get along with co-workers. Follow instructions. Work scheduled overtime. Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals Perform other duties as assigned. Clean the assigned area and sweep the slasher room daily. Work any scheduled overtime. Work efficiently to meet deadlines and production quotes.
Safety:
Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others. Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Ability to climb, reach, and bend. Good Color Vision Good physical condition - heavy lifting required.
