Monday - Friday, 1st Shift Greene Resources is seeking a Blender Operator to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
Blend and mix various chemical formulations using a blend sheet or recipe. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the batch area. Monitor all tank activities and complete tank inventories daily. Weigh and meter all blend components using volume meters and/or load cells. Ensure the proper operation of these measuring devices and report any concerns to the supervisor. Handle and pump a variety of chemicals from water to extremely hazardous items. Use a variety of chemical pumps and material handling devices to transfer/transport blending materials. Hook up tanks and hoses to blend and/or package the desired product. Trace fill lines to ensure accurate hook-ups and transfers. Monitor blending operations, mixing times, temperatures, and fill levels to ensure safety. Use tank charts, gauge readings, and temperature conversion charts to determine proper filling volumes and safe fill levels for chemical storage tanks.
Position Requirements:
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and able to work in extreme temperatures. DOT Hazmat certification is desirable. Understanding of chemical hazards and safety. Familiarity with all products in storage tanks and their specific hazards. Must be able to follow detailed procedures and learn new concepts quickly. Ability to perform routine linear calculations and other basic math skills. Familiar with basic blending concepts and equipment such as pumps, valves, and kettles.
