Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards and production schedules. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication technology in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and innovation. Duties Set up CNC laser cutting machines, including loading materials, installing tooling, and configuring machine parameters based on detailed blueprints and CAD drawings. Program CNC laser machines using CAM programming software and G-code to achieve precise cuts aligned with project specifications. Operate CNC laser equipment efficiently, monitoring operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety throughout the production process. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC laser systems, including Fanuc controls and other automation components, to minimize downtime. Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret technical blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and fabrication drawings for accurate production. Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment; assist with warehouse organization and inventory management as needed. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication projects, and packaging of finished products to meet production deadlines. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming, including experience with Fanuc controls and CAM programming software. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings for precise fabrication. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes such as stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, lathes, welding, and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks for designing or reviewing parts before machining. Hands-on experience operating CNC laser cutters in a manufacturing environment; familiarity with tooling setup and calibration. Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to operate forklifts safely; warehouse experience is a plus for materials handling tasks. Understanding of factory safety protocols, quality control standards, and manufacturing best practices. Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous for troubleshooting automation systems. Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
