GED Full Job Description Summary:
The Machine Operator I is responsible for the daily operation of filling machinery to produce top quality products.
Primary Tasks/Responsibilities :
Know, understand, and follow production schedule in operation of machinery. Communicate with leadership on any issues that impede production. Troubleshoot machinery. Responsible for accurate product/package/code changes. Perform surface foaming and mechanical cleaning of machinery. Assist in quality inspections on materials and finished product. Document activities throughout shift. Proactively recognize and report safety issues. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures. Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in manufacturing environment in operator role, highly preferred. Proven exp Other Skills and relevant considerations : Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion. Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in a wet and/or humid environment. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Exposure to nut allergens.
