Summary :
The Asitrade Wet-End Operator is responsible for the overall operation of the section of the Asitrade single-face laminator that makes the single-face liner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Prepare rolls of paper (for inside liner and medium) for placement into the single facer. Each station consists of two roll stands. Prepare splices of rolls of paper to ensure smooth transition during roll change. Make necessary adjustments to heat, tension, moisture of single face to minimize warp and ensure good adhesion of liner and medium. Clean and maintain flute roll cartridges to ensure unobstructed vacuum and for air operation in rolls (3 cartridges will be on this machine - 1b-Flute, 1E-Flute, 1F-Flute). Monitor temperature of rolls, starch adhesive, and moisture of liner to reduce variables on manufacture of single face. Assist dry-end operator and /or utility personnel as required. Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area. Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. Overtime is required. Perform other duties as assigned.
