Machine Operator

Duties and Responsibilities :

Operates packaging equipment according to product specifications and ensuring accuracy in weights and codes. Adjusts machines as required Maintains proper documentation of downtime and repairs. Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance work on equipment Continually checks the quality of the product, packaging, and case printing according to standard operating procedures and policies. Responsible for reporting any issues or concerns to Packaging Supervisor, as needed Inspects and conducts regular deep cleaning of equipment after each product change Maintains cleanliness of equipment at all times Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices, and standard operating procedures Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation Other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience Required :

Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills :

High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution Previous experience operating machines Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility
