Job Summary:
Looking for consistent hours and high earning potential? Mid-Plains Industries is seeking motivated Production Machine Operators to join our team. While our standard schedule is a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday), we are currently in a high-growth phase with mandatory Friday overtime most weeks. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want a steady schedule with the ability to significantly increase their take-home pay through overtime.Available Shifts:
Day Shift :
6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (plus Friday OT)Night Shift:
4:30 PM - 3:00 AM (plus Friday OT) We provide full training on specialized equipment including Saws, Press Brakes, and Rod Benders . Job Description Role Overview As a Production Machine Operator, you will safely control and maintain various equipment involved in our production process. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and ensure all parts meet our high-quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
Diverse Machine Operation:
Safely operate machinery including Saws, Press Brakes, Rod Benders , lathes, grinders, mills, and punch presses.Precision Production:
Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.SetupTechnical Tasks:
Read blueprints and drawings to prepare materials and complete changeovers of machine tooling.MaintenanceInspection:
Inspect equipment prior to use for proper alignment and perform basic routine adjustments and cleaning.SafetyHandling:
Handle materials safely to reduce risk to yourself and others while using all required personal protective equipment (PPE).Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED Experience:
0 - 1 year of relevant experience-we are ready to train the right candidate!Technical Skills:
Ability to read blueprints and measuring devices (like tape measures).Core Skills:
Strong understanding of basic math, problem-solving, and time management.Preferred:
Technical Certification or Diploma from technical college.Physical RequirementsEnvironment Activity Level:
A dynamic role involving standing (40%), walking (40%) and sitting (20%).Strength:
Ability to lift 25-40 pounds; anything over 40 pounds requires a two-person lift or assist device.Environment:
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, atmospheric conditions, and noise.
