Full-time | Overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed All Shifts $17.25 Position Overview A well-established food manufacturing facility is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to support high-volume production operations. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated packaging equipment to ensure finished products meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities Operate automated packaging equipment including slicers, baggers, sealers, and labeling machines Monitor production lines to ensure products are packaged correctly and meet quality standards Adjust machine settings for different product sizes, materials, and production runs Load packaging materials such as bags, labels, clips, and film Inspect finished products for proper sealing, accurate labeling, and overall quality Verify correct date codes and production markings Clear minor jams and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues Understand and safely use machine controls, including emergency stop/start functions Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime Maintain clean, sanitary work areas in compliance with food safety regulations Accurately complete production, quality, and safety documentation Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and plant safety policies Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in manufacturing, food production, or packaging preferred Experience with automated packaging or production equipment strongly preferred Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements Ability to lift approximately 35-45 lbs Comfortable working around moving machinery and conveyor systems Work Environment Manufacturing environment with moving equipment Hot conditions during summer months Slippery or dusty floors at times Required use of PPE including uniforms, gloves, and slip-resistant footwear Why Apply Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing food manufacturer Consistent hours with overtime potential Competitive pay based on experience IND38
