Job Description

Now Hiring Filler Machine Operator in Bridgeton, NJ The Filler Machine Operator sets up, operates, breaks down, and maintains extended shelf-life filling equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This role focuses on producing the maximum amount of high-quality product within specified ranges while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), troubleshooting and resolving operating issues, and communicating effectively with all departments to meet daily production deadlines.
Shift/Pay:
2-2-3 schedule: 6PM to 6:30AM $21- $30/hr Responsibilities Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down extended shelf-life filler machines and related equipment in a food manufacturing environment. Maintain, break down, and clean equipment and machinery according to established procedures, including performing CIP (clean-in-place) processes as required. Troubleshoot and resolve machine operating issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain consistent product quality. Operate filling machines safely and efficiently to produce the maximum amount of quality product within specified standards and tolerances. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all food safety and regulatory requirements, including GMP/FDA regulations. Perform basic machine adjustments and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance of filler and associated equipment. Monitor product and packaging for defects or deviations and take corrective actions when necessary. Complete accurate and legible production and record-keeping entries as required for quality and regulatory documentation. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate production, address issues, and meet daily deadlines. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to facility safety rules. Handle general labor tasks related to machine operation, such as material handling, cleaning work areas, and supporting other production activities. Work a 2x2x3 schedule on the night shift (6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.) and be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Lift, move, push, and pull materials and products as required, including regularly lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, reach, bend, and perform repetitive motions for virtually the entire shift. Work Environment This role operates in a food manufacturing facility, primarily working on filler machines in a GMP/FDA-regulated, temperature-controlled environment that is cold and can be wet. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
