Full Job Description Machine Operator Location:
Camden, NJ Employment type: Temp-to-Hire Job summary: Our client in Camden, NJ is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6AM-4:30PM. The pay rate for this role is $25.60-$28.60 an hour. For this position you will be operating a steel stretcher and leveler equipment. You will be responsible for processing flat-rolled steel products.Responsibilities:
Review work orders, production schedules and customer specifications prior to processing materials Set up, adjust and monitor machine parameters to achieve required flatness dimensions and quality standards Inspect incoming and finished produced for defects, quality concerns and compliance with standards Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers and gauges Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, and inventory-related paperwork. Assist with material handling, loading, unloading, packaging, and movement of steel products throughout the facility. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company housekeeping standards. Immediately report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, and safety concerns to supervisors. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience operating a forklift isREQUIRED
, experience operating an overhead crane is a huge plus! Previous experience operating steel processing equipment, including levelers, stretchers, or similar is preferred. Previous experience in a steel service center, metals processing facility, or manufacturing environment. Must be comfortable lifting over 50lbs consistently Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the workday. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and plant conditions.
