Job Description

A Carter Lumber Door Shop Assembly Worker is responsible for fulfilling special orders as requested in a timely and accurate manner. This is accomplished by producing needed materials, calculating measurements and assembling the product to the customer's specification. Adheres to safety regulations when handling material and equipment. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a millwork environment is preferred, but willing to train Knowledge of tools preferred; General carpentry skills are a plus Strong attention to detail Possess strong mathematic skills to calculate measurements Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to work in a team environment
Responsibilities:
Work on a Door Assembly line to manufacture and assemble interior Prehung doors Utilize air nail guns, staplers and other tools needed to assemble doors Ability to lift up to 75lbs Pick and pull production material as needed Ability to read a tape measure preferred Benefits (full-time employees): Health, Dental, Vision (Single and Family Plans) available after 30 days of employment Short and Long-Term Disability Company-paid life insurance and AD&D Optional supplemental life insurance Company-match 401(k) Vacation time and paid holidays Vendor incentives Room for growth; we promote from within!
