Job Title:
Compounder - 2nd Shift Job Description As a Compounder on the 2nd shift, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving and measuring ingredients, mixing them, and ensuring compliance with all quality standards. You will handle a variety of substances, including liquids and powders, and will be tasked with maintaining precise documentation throughout the compounding process. Responsibilities Retrieve and accurately measure ingredients using scales. Mix various ingredients and identify solids that need melting using hot plates. Identify ingredients requiring dilution, dilute them accordingly, and record raw materials usage. Verify the weight and contents of raw materials to maintain quality standards. Conduct in-process batch inspections and document all process events. Process liquid, powders, homogenizing, and spray dry methods of compounding. Follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes and other substances. Check for consistency in batches and measure the viscosity of mixtures. Take samples of batches and submit them to the laboratory for testing. Follow food safety guidelines and accurately document completed work. Wear a uniform and proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Essential Skills 6 months to 1 year of experience in compounding with powder/raw material. Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. Ability to willingly follow safety and sanitation protocols. Experience handling raw materials. Additional Skills & Qualifications Open-minded and adaptable. Team player. Work Environment You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment on the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The role requires adherence to a specific dress code, including wearing a uniform and necessary personal protective equipment.
