Imagine opening a new work order at 7:30 AM. You study the drawing, lock in on critical tolerances, and sketch the sequence in your head. Fusion 360 is up—toolpaths take shape. On the Haas VMC, you set tools, dial in work offsets, and run a prove-out. The first piece passes inspection with your micrometers and calipers. You share tips with an operator, refine the program for a better finish, and keep production on pace. If this sounds like your ideal day, read on. Your Core Challenges Program CNC mills using CAM and support setups/operations on Haas 3-4 axis VMCs. Translate drawings/specs/sample parts into clear machining plans, sequences, and setups. Inspect finished parts to confirm dimensions and tolerances are met. Follow written and verbal procedures and uphold shop standards. Communicate clearly, collaborate well, and maintain dependable attendance. Pitch in on additional tasks as production needs evolve. What You'll Need to Succeed Fluent CAM programming capability (Autodesk Fusion 360 preferred). Proven CNC setup and operation skills. Mechanically skilled, organized, and reliable.
