2rd Shift Tape Machine Operator (M-F 2nd Shift work 3:30PM - 12:00AM) Previous extrusion or wire and cable experience highly preferred. Primary Function:

Set up and operate machines to apply various types and sizes of tape to bare or insulated conductors.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up reels of wire into the payoff stands and empty reels onto the take-up reels. Lace wire through the machine, oven, capstan, spark tester, and onto the take-up reel. Load tapes onto taping heads and drain wire when applicable per job requirements. Set oven controllers to required temperatures per specifications (if applicable). Start machines and check tape lay for proper application. Set spark tester at specification voltage and run wire to required footage. Maintain quality standards and run machines at specification speeds. Make all necessary repairs to faults or damaged material per specifications. Follow all instructions and perform other duties as requested by the supervisor. Skills /

Experience:

Some manufacturing or production experience preferred (training provided the right candidate). Previous extrusion or wire and cable experience is a plus. Basic math skills (addition and subtraction). Strong attention to detail and quality. Location Saddle brook, NJ 07663 (Required)
