Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Laser Operator - I, where your skills will drive precision and efficiency in our fabrication processes. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art laser cutting equipment, contributing to high-quality production and continuous improvement. As a Laser Operator - I, you will be instrumental in transforming raw materials into finished components with accuracy and speed, supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accurate fabrication Program CNC laser equipment using CAD/CAM software, making adjustments for optimal performance Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laser machinery to ensure smooth operation Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances Handle sheet metal, metal fabrication tools, hand tools, and tooling safely and efficiently during production processes Assist with material handling using forklifts or cranes when necessary to move raw materials or finished parts Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards and manufacturing best practices Skills Proficiency in CNC laser cutting operations and CNC programming techniques Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment such as press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and welding processes Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical specifications including GD&T standards Experience with tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and quality inspection methods Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations in machining tasks Knowledge of safety procedures involving sheet metal handling, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment Ability to use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and other gauges for quality assurance Mechanical aptitude combined with a strong work ethic focused on precision machining and assembly tasks Embark on a career where your technical skills make a tangible impact!
