Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team on the day shift. In this role, you will set up and operate vacuum forming equipment to shape plastic sheets and use basic machining tools to trim and finish final products. You will work closely with the Shift Lead to maintain high quality standards, meet daily output goals, and ensure a clean, safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Load plastic sheets into vacuum forming machines, monitor heating cycles, and safely cycle the machinery to form parts.
Secondary Finishing:
Use basic machining tools (saws, routers, drills, or pneumatic trimmers) to cut away excess material and smooth edges to final specifications.
Quality Inspection:
Visually inspect formed and finished parts for defects like webbing, thinning, or uneven trimming, and report issues immediately.
Material Handling:
Move raw plastic sheets to the station and stack/pack finished parts safely to prevent scratching or damage.
Station Maintenance:
Clean and clear plastic scraps from the machinery and workspace to maintain a safe, efficient environment.
Team Collaboration:
Assist the Shift Lead with mold changes and participate in daily shift huddles.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience with plastics or thermoforming is a major plus.
Machining Skills:
Comfort and familiarity using basic hand tools and power tools (routers, band saws, or drills) safely. Attention to
Detail:
Ability to spot small defects in molded parts and follow precise trimming dimensions.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift, perform repetitive lifting, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliability:
Strong attendance record and a commitment to arriving on time for the day shift.
Job Type:

$21.00 - $24.50 per hour
