Chemical Compounder Plesh Contract Packaging - 2.3 Buffalo, NY Job Details Full-time $20 - $32 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Life insurance Qualifications Material mixing High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Quality assurance within manufacturing Full Job Description Job Overview The Chemical Compounder will be responsible for operating and controlling chemical compounding equipment, accurately measuring and mixing raw materials, and ensuring that all batches meet manufacturing specifications. This role also involves maintaining equipment, complying with health and safety regulations, and striving to reduce waste and improve production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Accurately measure, mix, and blend raw materials according to established recipes and specifications by preparing chemical solutions according to formulas, weighing and measuring ingredients accurately. Monitor and adjust the compounding process to ensure consistent product quality, performing routine quality checks and document production data, including temperature and pH in chlorinator and related equipment. Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the compounding process and reporting unresolved issues to the Production Coordinator. Implement practices to reduce waste and improve the efficiency of the production process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Ensure all chemicals returned to inventory have updated weights and are cleaned. Obtain and understand all documentation for batching products and complete all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner. Communicate with production when batches are complete and ready to fill. Monitor all temperatures on batches that require heating and cooling. Verify and calibrate raw chemical feeding pumps. Follow LOTO procedures for working in and around equipment and observe all safety procedures and SOPs set by the company. Refer all issues to the Lead Chemical Compounder. Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the tools supplied. Occasionally offload chemical tankers. Work toward continuous quality improvement. Stay current with changing technology, including software and position-specific programs. Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy in batch execution and documentation Working knowledge of chemical handling and safety practices Ability to follow formulations and SOPs precisely Effective communication Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify and address process issues
Pay:
$20.00 - $32.00 per hour
