Machine Operator

Career Start is currently seeking multiple Machine Operator Trainees near Chittenango, NY. If you have experience with Davenport and/or Wickman Machines, please still apply as we can get you a higher pay rate.

Overview:

This is a hands-on training role designed to teach you how to safely operate multi-spindle production machinery, inspect parts for quality, and maintain consistent output. 1st

Shift:

Monday through Thursday 6 AM to 430 PM 2nd

Shift:

Monday through Thursday 330 PM to 2

AM Pay of Machine Operator Trainee:

$17/hr - If you have experience with Davenport and/or Wickman Machines the pay rate will be based on years of experience

Responsibilities of Machine Operator Trainee:

Load raw materials into machines and monitor operation Inspect parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers) and follow inspection plans Log data, complete paperwork, and maintain accurate records Learn how to perform minor tool adjustments/changes as necessary to maintain part quality Alert QC or supervisor if there are any questions/concerns regarding part quality Monitor machine operation, report any irregularities to more experienced operator or set up person. Learn to read and understand Blueprints, Inspection Plans and follow instructions Learn to use and interpret precision measuring gauges including micrometers and calipers

Requirements of Machine Operator Trainee:

High School Diploma or GED required. Willingness to learn machine operation and use measuring tools Basic computer skills for logging production and printing routing cards Ability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently (occasionally up to 50 lbs) Previous manufacturing or shop experience is a plus, but not required #IND123
