GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Silk Screen/Pad Printer using job travelers, blueprints and customer specifications, prints letters and designs on substrate using screen printing devices. Mix inks according to standard formulas. Examine printed parts for location and objectionable defects. Create Silk Screen stencils. Manage the workload according to due dates and priorities.
OBJECTIVES
Follows written and graphic documents to ensure customer specifications are met. Mixes inks according to standard formulas. Examines printed parts for location and defects. Creates silk screen stencils. Manages time and production schedule according to due dates and priorities. Ensures completed products match the product sample provided by customer in graphics, position and color. Creates and builds fixtures for screen printing and pad printing. Programs printing equipment. Burning/shooting of screens. Maximized profits by minimizing product rework and waste.
OTHER DUTIES
Reads and understands blueprints. Organizes, plans and maintains a productive department. Set-up of pad print machines. Burning/shooting of screens. Programming of printing equipment. Cleaning screens. Understanding ink properties to maintain correct consistency. Proper disposal of inks. Operation of anti-static equipment. Operation of curing ovens. Blueprint reading. Takes ownership of all completed work
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience with using measuring and calibrating equipment. Ability to operate anti-static equipment. Knowledge of curing oven operation. Understands ink properties to maintain correct consistency. High attention to detail Ability to problem solve Communicates confidently with all levels of staff, customers and visitors Ability to work alone or with a team
EDUCATIONAL AND POSITION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Basic math skills Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

Ability to inspect products in all aspects including close up, at a distance, peripherally, depth and in color. Move about the production area to retrieve needed equipment/inventory to complete assigned jobs. Stay in a stationary position on concrete for extended periods of time from squatting to upright positions.
