Job Family Plant Hourly Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Function MFG Hourly Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Loads/reloads fabric on quilting machine as well as polyurethane foam rolls onto quilting machine. 2. Loads/reloads thread, thread machine and bobbins, adjusts needle positioning and patter as needed. 3. Loads/reloads backing onto quilting machine. 4. Measures and sets panel cutting blades, and adjusts panel cutting machine as needed. 5. Operates multi-needle quilting machine to produce quilted mattress panels. Monitors machine (visual and audio) and makes adjustments as needed in order to prevent skipping and/or creating scrap. 6. Measures and inspects finished panel. Repairs defective panels using a straight stitch sewing machine and/or other established processes. 7. Operates quilting machine, including computer related to quilting function and performs job tasks according to established safety and efficiency procedures, including minor maintenance on machines as required. 8. Maintains workstation in a neat, clean and orderly fashion, and performs job duties in a safe and efficient manner. 9. Documents transition lengths. 10. Walks to storage areas and returns with materials as needed. 11. Performs related duties as assigned. Functional/Technical Competencies Experience/Education 1. Ability to read, write and understand English 2. Basic Math skills and attention to detail are required 3. Production line experience helpful, but not required 4. Aptitude for computers 6.
