Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Program Fiber Optic laser with BySoft or Amada programming software in support of EMT's production schedule.
  • Generate nested programs for Quoting department maximizing sheet utilization and cutting efficiencies.
  • Set up and run Laser equipment using work order paperwork to produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the engineered drawings.
  • Identify continuous process improvements that will elevate performance, quality, and throughput in the Laser department.
  • Ensure that set up and operational run rates are achieved as defined in EMT's ERP system.
  • In effort to maintain the latest skills and techniques some short term travel may be required for training that will increase and further develop your programming and operational abilities. (All costs to be paid by employer).
  • Maintain the cleanliness of your work area and meet all requirements of the EMT Quality and Safety System.
Education, Qualifications & Skills:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Desired.
  • Minimum of 3 years fabrication experience.
  • Able to program Bystronic and/or Amada Lasers.
  • Able to set up and operate Bystronic and/or Amada Lasers.
  • Able to read mechanical engineered drawings (blueprints).
  • Have a working knowledge of engineered specified tolerances.
  • Must be able to use inspection equipment (calipers, protractor, height gage, etc).
