$18 - $22 an hour

7:00am - 3:30pm

Position Summary :

The Machine Operator is responsible to run a variety of machines to produce quality precision parts. Apply knowledge of basic CNC machining and safety along with the use of good hand-working skills. Reports to the Machining and Programming Group Leader.

Essential Functions:

Inspect tooling Operate machinery Deburr/Clean finished parts Measure finished parts to ensure accuracy Fill out in-process inspection sheet Enter job time and part quantities into Shop System software Meet production requirements and quotas Read and follow white books for production methods and requirements Work with QC on proper inspection methods using assigned process inspection criteria & equipment Observe all safety regulations and use common sense in new applications

Skills:

Basic math skills required Basic understanding of machining and machine fixtures Basic knowledge in CNC vertical mills Basic knowledge of precision measurement and precision measurement equipment Ability to adapt to procedures and retain information Ability to learn when trained in a specific task and execute repeatedly Ability to obtain basic knowledge in reading and understanding prints through on-the-job training Ability to recognize problems in process and report intelligently to their group leader

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent A minimum of one (1) year experience working in manufacturing or production
