Compounder Book here for more information/interests: https://talentassistant.actalentservices.com/assistant/bookings/BfUTMTxl Job Description The Compounder will be responsible for accurately weighing all ingredients specified in formulations, ensuring precision in code numbers, lot numbers, ingredient descriptions, and weights. This role includes maintaining accurate inventory control of all materials used, encompassing lot numbers, warehouse locations, and expiration dates. Manufacturing tasks must adhere to special instructions and include activities such as mixing, heating, filtering, and following step sequences. The role requires adherence to approved manufacturing protocols, including Standard Operating Procedures, site regulations, departmental rules, and required regulatory procedures. Working safely with all fragrance materials, including wet, dry, viscous, flammable, hot, and hazardous substances, is essential. Responsibilities Accurately weigh all ingredients in a formulation, ensuring correct code numbers, lot numbers, descriptions, and weights. Maintain precise inventory control of all materials, including lot numbers, locations, and expiration dates. Manufacture products according to specified instructions, including mixing, heating, and filtering. Follow approved manufacturing protocols, including SOPs, site regulations, and regulatory procedures. Safely handle all fragrance materials, including hazardous substances. Work within cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, SQF, Kosher, Halal, and ISO guidelines. Attend annual refresher food safety training and participate in on-site competency testing. Maintain compliance with
SQF, ISO 9001
2015, and EFfCI standards. Essential Skills 2+ years of industry experience in a chemical environment. Strong math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to convert English units of weight and volume to metric units. Ability to read and comprehend safety labels, instructions, and data sheets. Ability to follow verbal instructions and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for long durations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous compounding experience preferred. Experience with batch making. Work Environment This position is located at a small site with 56 employees, operating on a three-shift schedule. The role is on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
