Machine Operator

Regularly perform minor and major set-ups and adjustments of all equipment to which assigned. When appropriate training has been completed, setup and operate various types of machinery. Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality of product. Load machine with components in proper sequence per written specifications. Run machine at required rates upon successful training. Create production records in the data records system. Install proper gears in machine using basic hand tools. Unload reels on completed product and package per spec for customer shipments. Inspect in-process and finished product to ensure compliance to written specifications. Accurately operate and read measuring devices, i.e. Micrometers, calipers, etc. Efficiently operate and monitor multiple machines at once to maximize productivity. Follows area 5S-guidance and maintains a clean work area complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Complies with all safety procedures and programs, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated. Communicates and follows written instructions. Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of Monroe Cable. This posting is for 1st and 2nd shift positions.
