Position Summary The Welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components using various welding techniques in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role ensures that all welds meet structural and safety requirements while maintaining productivity and efficiency. The Welder operates welding equipment, performs routine inspections, and adheres to all safety procedures and company policies. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Essential Functions 1. Assist the Continuous Improvement Manager in identifying and supporting service and process improvement initiatives across the organization using structured methodologies. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support a culture of continuous improvement and participate in ongoing improvement programs. 3. Support the planning and execution of LEAN/process improvement activities, including data collection, documentation, and event coordination. 4. Help identify inefficiencies and waste within business processes and propose potential improvements under supervision. 5. Analyze data to identify trends, process variations, and improvement opportunities using basic data analytics tools. 6. Assist in developing and documenting new processes, including contributing to training materials, reports, and system updates. 7. Support project tracking by helping monitor progress, documenting milestones, and identifying potential risks or dependencies. 8. Participate in post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes and identify lessons learned. 9. Provide administrative and coordination support for improvement projects across departments. 10. Assist with communication and coordination with internal teams and external vendors as needed. Supervisory Responsibility No Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, requiring 8 hours of work per day Monday thru Friday, some overtime as business needs change. Willing to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends, if necessary. Travel None. Education High School Diploma 1-3 years TIG welding experience Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to interpret drawings and schematics to accurately assemble tooling and shielding Detail-oriented Must be able to plan, prioritize and perform work in an efficient manner to meet schedules Willing to work flexible shifts, overtime and weekends if necessary Able to lift at least 50lbs.
