Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Log Yard Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the organization, movement, and safety of logs within our yard, ensuring efficient operations and quality control. Your expertise will help us maintain the high standards our clients expect while supporting the smooth flow of raw materials through our facility. Responsibilities Operate loader and picker to move, stack, and organize logs safely within the yard Operate Woodmizer hydraulic sawmill Manage log inventory by tracking incoming and outgoing materials with precision Loading and unloading logs from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage Maintain a clean, organized yard environment by adhering to safety protocols and housekeeping standards Collaborate with team members to coordinate log storage, retrieval, and processing activities Qualifications Prior log handling experience required Prior experience with Woodmizer hydraulic sawmill preferred Proficiency in operating loader, picker and chainsaw required Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
