Machine Operator

75 an hour Our key client is growing like crazy, and we are adding Machine Operators to their team. If you like a fast-paced, physical position that gets you up and moving, apply to join our team today. Remember this is an active role and you will be on the move for your whole shift, usually 8 hours or more.
LOCATION
Rochester, NY 14626
SHIFTS/PAY:
(Two Shifts Available Currently)
Swing Shift:
(4 consecutive days on and then 4 consecutive days off), shift will alternate from 6am
  • 6pm (1st shift) first week, then 6pm
  • 6am (2nd shift) second week and follow same alternating schedule thereafter.
Week one would be 6AM to 6
PM:
$21 per hour Week two would be 6PM to 6
AM:
$21.75 per hour
C Shift:
$20.75 per hour base rate + $1.00 shift diff =$21.75 Sunday to Thursday
  • 11pm
  • 7am Here are just some of the things you'll get to do with us: Use computer-controlled equipment and manual processes to manufacture and package components for medical diagnostics products as trained.
Operate equipment for the assembly and processing required to produce finished products. Conducts basic quality inspections and appropriately disposes of hazardous waste. Package and/or prepare all products according to procedures, maintaining high standards for their quality and workmanship. Accountable for adhering to all quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines as trained. Consistently meet production metrics on at least one machine with minimal supervision. Assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Perform basic data entry, i.e. SAP, SPIDER, etc. Perform basic quality checks and escalate as needed. Participate in simple root cause analysis under supervision. Follow and contribute to updates in SOPs, work instructions, and job plans. Ability to perform basic machine adjustments under the guidance of a senior operator. Encourages positive relationships by utilizing effective communication skills. Performs multiple job functions within the Work Center and willingly flexes as business needs dictate. Identifies EH&S opportunities and provides recommendations. Participates in the implementation of solutions. Aligns development with business needs. Participates in cross-training.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Intermediate math and communication skills. 1-3 years of hands-on experience in high-speed automated production, packaging, formulation process, and/or related systems. Ability to work effectively in a team. Application of basic safety practices in daily tasks. Basic understanding of GMP requirements and adherence to them during manufacturing activities. Completes training across multiple pieces of automated equipment. Participation in basic root cause analysis exercises using methodologies such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagram. Familiarity with basic tools and practices. Basic problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of 6S and ability to apply concepts. Ability to navigate through HMI screens. Ability to recognize patterns of failures within an automated manufacturing line. Understanding basic GMP and compliance in a regulated industry. Ability to complete paperwork with high accuracy following good documentation practices. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
