Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Extruder Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion machinery to produce high-quality pet food products efficiently and safely. Your expertise in pet food extrusion processes, mechanical knowledge, and materials handling will ensure smooth operations and consistent product quality. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor extruder machines, ensuring optimal performance throughout production runs and trial runs Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify product specifications Adjust machine settings based on process requirements, utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for precise control Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on extrusion equipment Handle materials safely using forklifts and other hand tools, ensuring proper materials handling and storage in the warehouse Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, maintaining high standards of quality assurance Experience Prior experience in extrusioninjection molding is highly preferred Familiarity with manufacturing environments that utilize lean manufacturing principles for efficiency improvements Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, machining techniques, and fabrication processes Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), press brake machines, CNC lathes, and CNC equipment is a plus Warehouse experience including materials handling, forklift operation certification, and safety protocols Basic math skills necessary for measurements and process adjustments Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to producing top-quality pet food products through innovative manufacturing practices.
