Job Description

The Role•Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Process Technician to work out its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY. The Process Technician supports all products produced in the machining departments. This includes setup, start-up, operation and troubleshooting of conventional and CNC machines and post-machining operations.. The key responsibilities of the Process Technician include, but are not limited to: Daily Manufacturing floor support Creation of programs for new products Maintain DNC with proven, best practice programs. Provide training for Operators to run good quality parts. Support initiatives and training for corrective actions Quality and technical support to internal and external customers Continuous improvement and cost reduction activities Process troubleshooting to ensure quality product is machined. Amphenol Aerospace:
Technical or associate degree is a plus 6+ years of experience in machining. Must have knowledge of Programming CNC machines and some Conventional experience. Proficient with the setup and operation of conventional as well as CNC machines to produce aluminum and steel parts. Familiar with technical drawings and precision measurement devices. Knowledge of MS Office programs. Must be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision and lead teams. Participate in projects for all aspects of the connector business. Confidentiality. Excellent oral and written skills. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. Use of a computer from 1 to 8 hours a day. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Possible travel domestic or overseas.
