Job Description

Setup Operator Timber Creek, an FCA Packaging Brand $19-20/hr United States, York, Tonawanda 99 Wales Avenue (Show on map) May 24, 2026 Who this is for:
This role is built for someone who enjoys working with their hands, understands how machines work, and takes pride in setting up equipment the right way-not just the fast way. If you've worked in manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, construction, or any mechanical environment, you'll likely feel at home here. What You'll Do Set up and change over wire binding machines to meet production specs and deadlines
Work independently and alongside a small team (1-2 others) to keep jobs moving efficiently
Read job specifications and ensure machines are dialed in for accuracy and quality
Troubleshoot setup issues and make real-time adjustments to keep production on track
Hit setup time targets based on production schedules (BOM-driven)
What You Bring
Hands-on mechanical experience (manufacturing, automotive, construction, or similar)
Confidence using hand and power tools (pliers, drills, nail/staple guns, etc.)
Ability to read measurements, work with fractions, and understand dimensions/tolerances
Basic understanding of how machines operate (mechanical and/or hydraulic systems)
Ability to read job specs or blueprints and translate them into machine setup
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Bonus if you've run or set up production machinery before-but not required if you're mechanically sharp and quick to learn. What Makes You Successful Here You don't wait to be told what's wrong-you spot issues and fix them
You stay calm and adapt when schedules or priorities shift
You communicate clearly with your team to keep things moving
You show up consistently and are open to overtime when production demands it
Why This Role Stands Out
Small team environment-your work directly impacts production
Hands-on, active role (not stuck behind a desk)
Opportunity to build real mechanical and machine setup skills
