- 11:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking experienced Cold Forming Operators to support a high-volume precision manufacturing operation producing critical fastener and specialty component products.
This role is responsible for machine setup, operation, tooling changes, process adjustments, quality verification, and maintaining efficient production performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on cold forming experience, and the ability to independently manage production while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor cold forming equipment to meet production and quality requirements Perform complete machine setups, changeovers, tooling installations, and process adjustments Troubleshoot production issues and make corrective adjustments to maintain efficiency and part quality Conduct in-process inspections and verify conformance to engineering specifications Read and interpret blueprints, part prints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve uptime and productivity Perform tooling changes and assist with tooling maintenance as required Complete production reporting, quality documentation, and system transactions accurately Support preventive maintenance activities and maintain equipment in proper operating condition Assist with raw material handling and wire loading operations Communicate production status, quality concerns, and equipment issues with supervisors and team members Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of cold forming, cold heading, nut forming, or fastener manufacturing experience Experience performing machine setups, changeovers, and tooling adjustments Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Understanding of manufacturing quality standards and inspection procedures Ability to work independently while maintaining production goals and quality expectations Preferred Experience operating Jern Yao, National, Sacma, Carlo Salvi, or similar cold forming equipment Knowledge of SPC and statistical process control practices Experience in fastener, automotive, aerospace, industrial, or precision manufacturing environments Forklift and overhead crane experience Technical training related to cold forming or metal manufacturing processes Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly Ability to work safely around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment Comfortable working in a production environment that may include heat, noise, oils, and lubricants Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Direct-hire opportunity with long-term career stability Consistent full-time schedule Overtime opportunities available Comprehensive benefits package Advancement opportunities within a growing manufacturing organization Clean, safety-focused production environment Stable operation with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement The Uniiited is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
