Position Summary Behnken Concrete LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Miller Formless Curb Machine Operator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining a Miller Formless curb machine to produce high-quality concrete curb, gutter, and related concrete structures on commercial, municipal, and residential projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. Operators will work closely with supervisors, laborers, finishers, and concrete truck drivers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to company standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate a Miller Formless curb machine to place concrete curb, gutter, and related structures. Set up, calibrate, and adjust machine controls to ensure proper alignment and grade. Read blueprints, site plans, grades, and layout information. Assist with string line setup, machine guidance, and project layout. Monitor concrete consistency and coordinate with concrete suppliers to maintain production quality. Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and communicate repair needs to management. Work with ground crews to ensure proper preparation, concrete placement, and finishing. Maintain production quality standards and ensure finished work meets specifications. Follow all OSHA, company, and jobsite safety requirements. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment when necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Foreman. Qualifications Previous experience operating a Miller Formless, Gomaco, Power Curber, or similar slipform curb machine preferred but not required. Ability to read construction plans, grades, and specifications. Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, and curing practices. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license required, able to obtain CDL in a timely manner. Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as project schedules require. Ability to travel to various job sites. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving machinery safely.
