Job Description

Job Title:
Machine Operator ($20/hr) Job Description This role involves operating multiple coiling, stamping, four-slide, and related production machines to manufacture high-quality parts according to customer specifications. The Machine Operator monitors equipment, maintains consistent product quality, and supports a safe and efficient work environment through careful setup, inspection, and routine housekeeping. Responsibilities Operate multiple coiling, stamping, four-slide, punch press, press brake, drill press, laser, and other production machines within the department. Set up machines for production runs, including threading, changeovers, and adjustments to meet job specifications. Follow drawings, blueprints, and prints based on customer specifications to ensure parts meet required dimensions and tolerances. Maintain a strong focus on quality by inspecting parts produced on the machine and identifying any defects or irregularities. Use inspection tools such as calipers and other measuring devices to verify product dimensions and quality. Troubleshoot basic mechanical and production issues on machines to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations. Keep machines and the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions to support a safe and efficient environment. Lift and move product as necessary to support machine operation and production flow. Follow directions accurately and retain information related to processes, safety procedures, and quality standards. Work efficiently, manage multiple tasks, and support production goals as assigned. Demonstrate reliable attendance and complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support overall department operations. Essential Skills At least 1 year of prior experience operating machinery in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to operate and monitor machines such as coiling, stamping, four-slide, punch press, press brake, drill press, and laser equipment. Ability to follow drawings, blueprints, and prints based on customer specifications. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and production issues. Experience with machine setup, including threading, changeovers, and adjustments. Ability to perform inspections using tools such as calipers and other measuring devices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards. Ability to follow directions and retain information related to processes and procedures. Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a production environment. Strong sense of accountability for personal performance and quality of work. Clear, effective, and professional communication skills at all levels. Ability to lift product when necessary to support machine operation and material handling. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a press room or production environment with multiple machine types. Previous experience with inspection machines and quality checks in a manufacturing setting. Comfort working with mechanical equipment and being mechanically inclined. Familiarity with production workflows, changeover processes, and continuous improvement mindset. Ability to contribute positively to a team-oriented, culture-focused environment. Why Work Here?
