AND RESPONSIBILITES.

Must be okay working with Raw Chicken. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers. Weigh or measure ingredients. Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly and when food and supplies are getting low, and order needed items. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed and provide cooks with needed items. Stir and strain soups and sauces. Read work orders, recipes, or formulas to determine cooking times and temperatures, and ingredient specifications. Clean, wash, and sterilize equipment and cooking area, using water hoses, cleaning or sterilizing solutions, or rinses. Record production and test data, such as processing steps, temperature and steam readings, cooking time, batches processed, and test results. Set temperature, pressure, and time controls, and start conveyers, machines, or pumps. Operate auxiliary machines and equipment, such as grinders, canners, and molding presses, to prepare or further process products. Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times. Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices. Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.
