Production Team Member - East Canton, OH Pay rate: 19/hr Job description The Y Press Operator is responsible for completing customer product requirements on time and with the highest quality within an assigned area while maintaining an environment that focuses on the Knight Material Technologies How We Work Principles of Safety and Compliance, Customer Focus, Respect, Integrity, Problem Solvers, and Teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Consistently demonstrate all KMT core values (Safety, Respect, Integrity, Customer Focus, and Problem Solving). Safely operate and maintain all equipment in the plant to produce maximum production rates while adhering to safety rules and regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Build dye within specifications once trained. Recognize the difference between bricks that pass and fail quality standards. Train to troubleshoot common issues. Perform routine equipment checks and maintain appropriate logs. Perform housekeeping duties in the plant area to ensure a safe and clean workplace. Make necessary adjustments to ensure operational reliability at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

One (1) year of heavy-duty industrial machinery experience. Understands, adheres to, and reinforces safety policies. Kiln, press, or extrusion experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) or more years of manufacturing experience. Press or extrusion experience.

Physical Requirements:

(With or Without Reasonable Accommodation) Must be willing and able to squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be willing and able to stand and work up to a 10-hour day in a non-climate-controlled facility. Willing and able to work in an environment that can be hot, humid, dusty, and noisy. Must be able to access all areas of the facility.
