I am currently hiring a Machine Operator in Kent, Ohio Kelly is hiring a Machine Operator on behalf of a global manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing and filtration systems for chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. Weekend Shift Friday•Sunday 6:00 AM•6:00 PM Training Period 3-6 months on 1st and/or 2nd shift Monday-Thursday training schedule Some flexibility available during training Transition to weekend shift after training completion and operational need Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Set up and operate machine shop equipment Manufacture precision components to required tolerances Select proper cutting tools and materials Adjust machine settings including speeds, feeds, and depth of cut Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments Document production and quality data accurately Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures Work Environment Machine shop setting Exposure to: Moving mechanical equipment Metal shavings and airborne particles Sharp cutting tools PPE and hearing protection required at all times Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and bend throughout shift Lift up to 50 lbs.

Strong visual abilities including:

Close and distance vision Color and depth perception Ability to adjust focus Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of hands-on machine shop experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Quality-focused mindset and strong work ethic Preferred Technical certification or vocational training in Machining Technology Experience with surface and O.D.
