Job Description

Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator Location:
Mason, OH Pay Rate:
$19.00 - $36.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Shift:
First Shift Position Summary A Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains multi-spindle screw machines to produce precision metal or plastic components according to specifications. This role ensures high-quality production, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Set up and operate multi-spindle screw machines (e.g., Davenport, Acme Gridley).
Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
Tooling:
Select and install tooling, attachments, and machine accessories.
Quality Control:
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain tolerances; inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
Reporting:
Document production data and report any defects or issues.
Safety:
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
1-3+ years of experience with multi-spindle screw machines.
Education:
High school diploma or GED (technical training is a plus).
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
Aptitude:
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
Teamwork:
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Physical Requirements & Environment Physical:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25-50 lbs, and perform repetitive manual tasks.
Environment:
Manufacturing/industrial setting; exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal shavings.
Safety:
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
