Job Description

Afternoon Shift Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM 5 days per week (10-hour shifts during busy season) Duties & Responsibilities Perform all tasks necessary to complete daily schedules with full accountability in the most efficient and effective manner within Panels or Solid Processing Departments. Work consists of routine tasks, processes and performing operations prescribed by drawings, work orders and procedures. Set up and operation of machinery such as edge banders, molders, shapers, dowel insertion machine, saws, and wide belt sanders. This would include inspection of parts for quality and accuracy. Tag, mark, and apply labels to appropriate materials. Requirements & Qualifications Experience with wood processing tools and equipment. Experience with domestic and exotic solid woods and veneers. Computer knowledge Must possess working knowledge of woodworking and manufacturing including measuring and use of millwork drawings. Must perform all aspects of routine work, meeting quality standards and requirements. Achievement results in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain awareness of shipping schedules and adjust work capacity needs as required. Keep work areas clean and safe. Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers, and others. Must be willing to share knowledge and ideas. Perform activities that directly support team outcomes. Must be flexible in cross-training. Perform duties based on instructions/past practices. Will require ability to grip and grasp lumber and panels for fabrication. Must be able to do repetitive lifting of materials weighing approximately 40 lbs., along with standing, manipulation; turning and twisting of wrists and hands.
